Multi gen living

We're excited to announce that Uplifts will be heading to the Ideal Home Show 2026, one of the UK's most iconic home events, running from 10th to 19th April at Olympia London.

This year promises to be our biggest show presence yet. From expert panel discussions and an exclusive VIP Dream Home experience to a collaboration with interior designer Ayisha Onuorah, we're bringing our mission of beautiful, accessible living to one of the country's most celebrated design stages.

Designing with dignity

Our theme for this year's Ideal Home Show is ‘design with dignity’, and it runs through everything we'll be doing across the ten days. We believe that home mobility solutions should never mean compromising on style, and this show is our chance to prove exactly that.

From custom-designed interiors to expert conversations on independent living, Ideal Home 2026 is where we'll be showing the world what truly inclusive design looks like.

Expert talks on the stage

Stage talk one: Friday 10th April, 2pm (opening day)

'Designing with dignity: creating stylish homes without compromise'

Join us for the opening day of the show as our panel tackles one of the most persistent myths in home design: that accessibility has to come at the cost of style.

Through real-life examples and expert insight, the panel will explore how thoughtful design, innovation, and collaboration can create homes that are both beautiful and accessible, and why inclusive design isn't just for some of us, but for all of us.

Panel:

  • Louis Stannah - Internal Marketing Lead, Uplifts

  • Ayisha Onuorah - Interior Designer

  • Kate Sheehan - Occupational Therapist, Uplifts

Stage talk two: Saturday 11th April, 11am (first weekend)

'The one-storey shortage: why homelifts are the key to downsizing freedom'

With bungalows now accounting for just one per cent of new-build homes, many over-55s are finding that downsizing isn't the straightforward step it once was. This expert panel explores the growing gap between what buyers need and what the market offers, and how modern homelifts and smart home adaptations are stepping in to fill it.

Drawing on clinical expertise, property market data, and real-world experience, the panel will show how multi-storey homes can be thoughtfully adapted for safe, independent living, helping homeowners stay mobile, connected, and in control of where and how they live.

Panel:

  • Louis Stannah - CEO, Uplifts

  • Kate Sheehan - In-house Occupational Therapist, Uplifts

  • Rachel Ollington - The Estate Agent Consultancy

The Dream Home activation

Our Dream Home space at this year's show has been designed from the ground up around the Design with Dignity theme, and it might just be the most exciting thing we've ever put together.

Interior designer Ayisha Onuorah has created an exclusive bespoke fabric for the installation, weaving accessibility and aesthetics into every detail of the space. VIP guests will be welcomed with a short introduction before Ayisha walks them through how the homelift has been integrated as part of the home's overall design story, not as an afterthought, but as a centrepiece.

Uplifts OT Kate Sheehan will share how good design actively supports independence and wellbeing, and guests will get to experience the lift for themselves, with a photo opportunity inside to take home as a memory.

Ask the expert

Visiting our stand? Our 'Ask the Expert' clinic with Ayisha and our homelift experts will be running throughout the show. Whether you're early in your thinking or ready to make a decision, it's a chance to get genuine, personalised insight from someone who understands both design and accessibility in equal measure.
